Corrections Policy

A clear process for correcting material errors, clarifying uncertainty, and updating information when the evidence changes.

What we correct

Factual errors

Incorrect names, dates, figures, locations, quotations, or factual descriptions.

Overstated certainty

Claims presented as settled when the evidence is uncertain, conditional, or disputed.

Material omissions

Missing context that creates a substantially misleading impression.

Significant updates

Later developments that materially change the meaning or accuracy of time-sensitive content.

How corrections are handled

01

Review the claim

Identify the exact statement at issue and the evidence supporting the request.

02

Verify independently

Compare the claim with credible primary or authoritative sources where practical.

03

Correct proportionately

Minor typographical fixes may be made silently; material factual changes should be reflected clearly.

04

Preserve transparency

When a correction changes the reader’s understanding, an update or correction note should explain what changed.

Submit a correction

Use the Contact page and include the page URL, the specific statement in question, and supporting evidence. A disagreement in interpretation is not automatically a factual error.
